The AHA|SA have been successful in receiving grant funding to undertake a project to help contribute to mentally healthy workplaces in our sector as part of the South Australian Healthy Workplaces Strategy.

Partnering with a third party training provider, Maybo (www.maybo.com.au), the project provides AHA|SA members with access to customer conflict resolution training. The 1-day face to face course provides staff with skills in the following areas:

• Understanding preventative measures to conflict and reducing risk
• Knowing how to use de-escalation strategies
• Learning defusing skills
• Identifying and planning to reduce risk
• Recognising instinctive reactions
• Undertaking a dynamic risk assessment to inform decision making
• Identifying post-incident considerations

The training date for the Port Lincoln regional session for April 2024 is listed below.  

There is a maximum of 2 attendees per venue that can register for the session and the session is aimed at supervisory and management level staff. We will notify members once the session is booked out and members will be able to register their interest for any staff to attend future dates.
