The Gamblers Rehabilitation Fund (GRF) is a joint initiative of the Australian Hotels Association (South Australian Branch), the Licensed Clubs’ Association of South Australia (Clubs SA), SkyCity Adelaide and the Government of SA.
The GRF was established in 1994, soon after the introduction of gaming machines into South Australia.
Its principal aim is to develop strategies and initiatives to respond to or to prevent problem gambling.
A policy on the allocation of GRF funding was developed in 1995 and it allowed for a range of services to gain financial assistance from the GRF. This is done through Gambling Help Services, which support people who have a gambling problem, along with their families.
